At Magpie, staying at the cutting edge of behavioural science is at the heart of what we do. We’re passionate about celebrating emerging leaders and fresh thinking in the field – because the more we learn, the more impact we can create.

That’s why we’re thrilled to be sponsoring, judging, and presenting at the London School of Economics’ Nudgeathon next month.

This 48-hour behavioural science hackathon brings together brilliant minds from top universities to tackle real-world challenges through behavioural insights. Now in its fifth year, the Nudgeathon – led by UCL Behavioural Innovations Society, LSE Behavioural and Psychological Science Society, and Cambridge’s Behavioural Insights Society -pushes the boundaries of behavioural science application.

For Magpie, supporting this event is more than sponsorship; it’s about continuous improvement, sharing insights with our clients, and giving back to academia. By engaging with the next generation of behavioural scientists, we ensure that innovation remains at the core of our agency’s work – driving meaningful social impact every step of the way.

Magpie’s Senior Behavioural Strategist, Saransh Ahuja will be attending in the role as a guest judge, and will be joined by our Business Development Manager, Christopher Hulme as they present a number of our successful campaigns which demonstrate our innovative approach to utilising behavioural insights in social impact campaigns and community engagement.

Magpie’s presence at this year’s Nudgeathon in London is particularly exciting because applied behavioural science is where scientific rigour blends with creativity – exactly what we do best at Magpie. As a creative behaviour change agency, we thrive at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and impact, making it only natural for us to support an event that champions both evidence-based thinking and creative problem-solving.

I’m especially looking forward to engaging with the brilliant students and professionals attending because this event isn’t just about exchanging ideas, but about sharing insights that spark powerful new approaches to real-world challenges.

What makes this even more special for me is returning to my alma mater, LSE, not as a student this time, but as a mentor. Having experienced Nudgeathon firsthand a few years ago, I know just how transformative it can be for those stepping into the world of applied behavioural science. LSE has always been a hub for intellectual curiosity and hands-on learning, and I can’t wait to be back among such curious and creative minds this April.”
