Magpie and Epilepsy Action have been shortlisted for Not-for-Profit Campaign of the Year at the 2026 Prolific North Champions Awards for the ‘If I Told You’ campaign. This recognition highlights the impact of the epilepsy awareness campaign and places it alongside leading work from across the North’s creative, digital and marketing sectors.

The campaign was created to raise awareness of epilepsy, challenge stigma and improve understanding through real lived experience. This shortlisting recognises the impact of a campaign designed to spark more open, informed conversations about epilepsy.

By combining behavioural insight with creative storytelling, the campaign aimed to:

This approach reflects a growing need for health awareness campaigns that go beyond information and actively influence attitudes and behaviours.

Recognising impact across the sector

The Prolific North Champions Awards celebrate leading work across the North’s creative, digital and marketing sectors.

This latest shortlisting builds on previous recognition for the campaign, including being a finalist and up for the people’s choice award at the Smiley Charity Film Awards, where ‘If I Told You’ is being recognised for its powerful use of storytelling to drive awareness and empathy.

Together, these achievements highlight the campaign’s strength in combining creative storytelling with behaviour change principles to engage audiences and challenge stigma.
