To mark the launch of our Trends publication – a compilation of 2017s biggest, best and most bizarre trends – we’ll be releasing one a day in the countdown to Christmas. Trend two, Witness the Fitness.
If you thought the fitness thing was a passing craze, think again. We’re getting more and more health conscious it seems. Regular yoga is no longer reserved for the devout hippie – everyone owns a yoga mat now, and a Nutri-Bullet. Food brands are using protein content to promote their products, and fitness junkies are sharing their pre-prepped meals online. With fitness now the in-thing to blog about, it seems your workout counts for nothing unless you share it.
Then there’s the fitness icons: clean eating Joe Wicks and bootylicious Grace Fit UK, not forgetting the smaller name social influencers on the scene showcasing their every move and meal.
Whether it’s donning Gym Shark leggings, downing a daily protein shake or hitting the perfect 7 for your weekly workout, it’s clear that fitness is not a fad – for young people it’s a formula for life.
