Ikea’s enchanted playground
Ikea have decided to focus on product innovation instead of spaces in their latest campaign with their ‘enchanted playground’ TV ad. The ad shows three old ladies quietly knitting together, before they’re whisked into a magical land of spinning tea cups. (Source: Campaign)
Find your dancing shoes
BBC celebrate the joy of dancing with their new TV ad for Strictly Come Dancing. The ad tells the tale of a pair of old brown brogues who’re inspired to get dancing with the help of a lively pair of red heels. The advert ends with the line ‘Find your dancing shoes’ with the aim of encouraging others to get up and get dancing! The first episode of this year’s series airs on 8th September. (Source: Campaign)
Uber bikes
Uber US have announced that from now on they’ll be focusing more on electric scooters and bikes instead of cars. According to their CEO, in the future there will be a higher demand for shorter journeys which has led to the company investing in a number of different electric scooter and bike firms. Uber said this move could damage their profits but are confident that it’s a positive strategic decision. (Source: Marketing Week)
The Great British Bake Off returns tonight
And last but certainly not least, the highly anticipated 9th series of The Great British Bake Off is back tonight! Channel 4 have once again opted for singing cakes in their TV ad, including squashed cupcakes and misshaped biscuits singing to Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful to celebrate the inner beauty of these homemade creations.
