It looks like any other Monday at Magpie HQ – we’re all heads down kicking off the week with some intense creative thought and action – but there’s an extra-special sense of excitement in the air.

Today marks the launch of the University of Magpie, our bespoke and unique employee development programme.

Our team has enrolled on their courses and received their student cards and their first term will see them making time for creative master classes, technical seminars and, of course, extra curricular activities.

“The University of Magpie exists to develop our professional and creative skills. We don’t want to just do things the standard way; we want to do things the Magpie way! That is why investing in staff development is a priority for us” says Director, Ged Savva.

“We even have our own Students’ Union run by an elected president with clubs and societies, community volunteering and extra curricular activities”.

We couldn’t launch our University without a week of events for our Freshers – kicking off today with a quick trip to the nearby M&S exhibition at the University of Leeds to get inspiration from the development of this legendary brand.
