Celebrations are in order today after Seriously, our antibiotics awareness campaign, produced alongside NHS Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group, was Highly Commended for Community Communications at the Antibiotic Guardian Awards last night.

The Antibiotic Guardian Awards champion those organisations and individuals who have demonstrated achievement in tackling antimicrobial resistance at a local, regional or national level.

Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats to health; it’s estimated that antibiotic-resistant superbugs will kill more than cancer by 2050.

We accepted the challenge of engaging communities across Leeds with awareness messages delivered through a striking brand, experiential events and a pledge site – all co-created with target audiences.

The CCG was commended in recognition of the best practice co-creation approach we used to develop the campaign, which has been recalled locally as one of the most iconic campaigns in Leeds last year.

Amongst great company and many worthy winners last night, the recognition we received has been overwhelming.

This timely commendation comes just as work is underway to roll out Seriously on a larger scale. We have won the contract to deliver the campaign across the whole of Leeds, working in partnership with community hubs to get the important messages out further.
