World Curry Festival

Project

Event Marketing and Social Media

Attracting 11,253 attendees to 56 cultural food events in Yorkshire.

Over the past few years, we’ve been working with Zulfi Karim on his vision for making Yorkshire a global destination for good curry. In 2016 we helped him to grow the festival from a weekend event in Bradford to a 15-day event across Bradford and Leeds.

In its seventh year, Zulfi Karim, Founder of the World Curry Festival says; “Our key objective is to bring people together and curry is a great way to do this. We have an exciting new format, which has created new venues and partners across the region.

Between September 15 and September 29 we helped market over 50 different events across Bradford and Leeds including special appearances including a lifetime achievement award and book launch with Ken Hom OBE.

We developed a new website and ticketing system to help manage the events and devised and implemented an online and social media marketing plan.

The World Curry Festival is a vibrant, fun and educational event that brings people together in celebration of their love of food, culture and entertainment.

Traditionally held over a long weekend, we were ready for negative reviews due to the change of format, but on the whole, the feedback was positive and we achieved some great results.
