Brand activation and promotional activity for an award winning letting agents targeting the student marketplace.

 

Strategy, planning, resource, design and management of a striking ambient and social media campaign to promote Let-Leeds’ accommodation across the student population in Leeds. ‘Toastmobile’ and associated activity became a fully integrated standout campaign across Leeds campuses.

Let-Leeds is an award winning letting agent, providing a fresh and personal approach to rent in Leeds. Predominantly a professional letting agent, they also let student properties and wanted to increase their presence through brand activity across university campuses in Leeds.

 

 

We were commissioned to plan and manage a promotional campaign targeting students across Leeds.

In a city saturated with student letting agents, our challenge was to increase awareness of Let-Leeds amongst students and shout above the other noise during the winter Freshers’ Fairs.

 

Main project objectives:

To increase brand awareness of Let Leeds amongst students in Leeds.

To engage students with the Let-Leeds offering through creative and experiential marketing.

To increase followers on social media.

To capture data through promotional activity.

We started with student insight in order to understand what would capture their attention. 

Gathering insight through focus groups and field research, we devised a campaign that would appeal to the student market and create conversation on social media, whilst raising awareness of Let-Leeds and enhance the company’s values and quality of service.

Even though we encountered some very unpredictable weather, we achieved some great results.

  • Over 500 new Facebook likes for Let-Leeds over a 2-week period
  • Video virals viewed by over 2000 students in Leeds
  • Increased awareness within the student community for Let-Leeds “Let-Leeds, they’re everywhere!” – cited many times on our 2015 recall survey
  • Let-Leeds used our focus group and Ideas and Imagination team’s insight to implement other ideas across their business, including a giant inflatable blimp to bob above their office to give brand standout
